hiatus

as you may have noticed, my last post was a month ago. i am still upset about george w. bush and the 51%. perhaps more importantly, however, i am busy. like, monumentally busy. (as john cusack and ione skye might say.) on the positive side, drafts of two HUGE papers are written and commented-upon. on the negative side, there remains before me a formal modeling exam (wednesday), two HUGE revisions (thursday and saturday) and a take-home exam in the world's most reading-intensive class.

everything will be finished on the afternoon of the 16th; perhaps after that i will get around to updating all of you on various Items of Interest.

however, be warned: grad school and blogging appear not to mix.
