i just want to be friends with molly ivins. i want her to have coffee with me so i can bask in her glow. i also want to tie down all the conservatives in the country and force them to listen to repeated readings of molly's columns -- particularly this one. given her sassy texas accent, the re-education probably wouldn't even be all that painful.

i think she might be making things a bit too easy, here, when she separates personal dislike (hatred?) from anger over bad policy. after all, someone who (apparently disingenuously) sticks to policies that are harming people is an easy someone to hate. sometimes i wonder if that's what i'm feeling, that post-policy-anger hatred. i think not, though: there's just an awful lot of policy anger to go around.
