oh for Chrissakes! literally!

the vote on gene robinson's election as bishop of new hampshire will go forward (when!?!?), and that's good news -- but why oh why Oh Why are all the mainstream media reporting this as if there is/was substance to the allegations? in the new york times, the fact that the website robinson is linked to (read: hasn't dealt with in five or so years) is not a pr0n purveyor (isn't that a nifty little netnanny defeater?), but rather a site that links to another site that links to another site that links to another site that "can" provide access to pr0n...all that is buried in the final third of the article.

and as for the calls for robinson to turn down the nomination "to save the church," well...what a terrible idea.
