gag me, that is. while it's nice to see philly getting some attention, and the story kind of sort of maybe has some of its facts straight (although calling fishtown "irish catholic" misses about 2/3 of the interestingness of that irish, italian, polish, puerto rican place), i had to laugh at its behind-the-times-ness (northern liberties cutting edge?!), and weep at its gung-ho endorsement of gentrification. also, excuse me, but does west philly not exist? or is it just that the real people (i.e., the ex-new yorkers) haven't moved there yet?
and yes, i do realize that this is my third post today. sigh.
