wow, is that ever a big whopping budget deficit from hell.
can't we just have the election right now? do we really have to let him do another five-and-change months of damage?
well, no worries. our long nightmare will be over soon. we watched the acceptance speech last night, and it was standard but very, very good. kerry (well, his speechwriters) managed to speak to and about the bush adminstration's worst shortcomings without mentioning it by name more than a time or two. on a second read of the transcript, i am especially happy with the parts where he slam-dunks the "us, optimists versus them, pessimists" spin that has been emanating from the republicans lately.
and of course: "I don't want to claim that God is on our side. As Abraham Lincoln told us, I want to pray humbly that we are on God's side."
