joan kroc: through the eye of the needle.

this is a wealthy person who i'll be pleased to hang out with in heaven. kroc was serious about philanthropy and who gave to lots of worthwhile people and organizations.

...like me, for example. from the wapo article on kroc's $200 million ($200 million!) bequest to npr: "She also gave money to those she never met, often anonymously. When the Red River flooded Grand Forks, N.D., in 1997, Kroc toured the damaged area incognito and wound up writing a $15 million check for relief efforts." people screwed up quite a bit with regard to the distribution of that money, but we were right to call it "angel money."
