quick update: i'm in evanston, illinois, at the poshest public library in the entire world. grandma weber has yet to join the computer age (just as she has yet to join most other facets of the twenty-first century. actual quote: "anti-semitism? i don't really see what's wrong with it..." let's hope she just had the meaning of "anti-semitism" wrong.)
not much else to say about this visit. grandma and the chicagoland aunts smoke like chimneys, leaving dad, ray and i gasping for breath after a day of hanging out with them. nevertheless, it's been good to see everyone. i *did* ask for this trip, after all, feeling like i should probably see the relatives once this year, at the very least. and basically it's been good. apparently everyone on earth decided that i needed new shirts at about the same moment, because i've recieved five in the last several days. blue. black. blue. hideous patterned turtleneck. offensive plaid. mmm hmm.
