you know, just when you think jesse ventura can't get any worse, he decides to nominate some ridiculously underqualified political pal to fill the senate seat of one of the best politicians in the state's history. how disrespectful is that? apparently ventura thinks minor-party candidates aren't getting respect. apparently he thinks wellstone's memorial was too political. apparently he thinks he's freaking God! how else could a not-very-popular, not-very-effective stunt/fluke governor possibly construe a personal and political tragedy and the ensuing pandemonium as about him? to be sure, i do not know. thank goodness he's not going to be the governor of my technical home state for much longer.
